Section 30-4-53Institution of desertion, nonsupport, etc., proceedings - Wife, child, etc. Proceedings under this article may be instituted upon complaint made under oath or affirmation by the wife or child, or by any officer mentioned in Section 30-4-64, upon information received, or by any other person having knowledge of the facts, against any person accused of either of the above-named offenses.
