Section 22-11A-5When State Board of Health to take charge of investigation. The State Board of Health may take charge of the investigation of an epidemic or of the supression thereof, or both, whenever, in the opinion of the State Health Officer, the public welfare requires such a course of action and, in that event, shall have and exercise all the power and authority that the county board of health and county health officer would have in the premises.
