Section 11-44E-99Vacancies in office of city manager. In the case of a vacancy in the office of city manager, the commission may appoint an acting city manager who shall possess the powers and duties of the city manager until such time as a new city manager is appointed by the commission. The acting city manager shall be compensated at no less than the level as the preceding city manager.
