Section 11-44E-163Financial interest in public service utility. No mayor or commissioner or any other official of the city, nor any employee thereof, shall be financially interested in any corporation operating any public service utility within the city; provided, however, this shall not apply to any employment or interest existing at the time of the selection or election of such mayor or commissioner or other official.
