Section 11-43A-109Right of council, city manager and designees to investigate municipal affairs, etc. The council and the city manager, or any person or committee authorized by either of them, shall have the power to inquire into the conduct of any office, department, board, commission, agency or officer of the municipality. Either of them may make investigations of municipal affairs and may compel the production of books, papers and other evidence for that purpose.
