2006 Alabama Code - Section 5-14A-6 — Regulatory supervision in cooperation with other savings institutions regulatory agencies.

The commissioner is authorized to enter into cooperative agreements with other regulatory agencies to facilitate the regulation of savings institutions and savings and loan holding companies doing business in this state. The commissioner may accept reports of examinations and other records from such other agencies in lieu of conducting its own examination of savings institutions controlled by savings and loan holding companies located in other states and may provide reports of examinations and other records to such other agencies at their request. The commissioner may take any action jointly with other regulatory agencies having concurrent jurisdiction over Alabama savings institutions and savings and loan holding companies doing business in this state or may take such actions independently in order to carry out the responsibilities of the commissioner.
