IN THE TENTH COURT OF APPEALS No. 10-16-00086-CR IN RE DONALD RAY ROBERTS Original Proceeding MEMORANDUM OPINION Donald Ray Roberts presented a petition for writ of mandamus to this Court to compel a trial court judge to set a date for a speedy trial. This proceeding, however, is alleged to be pending in Bastrop County. Absent extraordinary circumstances not present in this proceeding, we have no jurisdiction over matters pending in Bastrop County. See TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 22.201(k) (West 2004). Bastrop County is within the jurisdiction of the Third Court of Appeals. Id. (d). Although Roberts references the Honorable Ralph Strother, judge of the 19th Judicial District Court in McLennan County, the Clerk of this Court confirmed that no case is pending in that court involving Roberts. Roberts’s petition is dismissed for want of jurisdiction.
