COURT OF APPEALS SECOND DISTRICT OF TEXAS FORT WORTH NO. 02-17-00348-CV IN THE INTEREST OF J.V., A MINOR CHILD ---------FROM THE 235TH DISTRICT COURT OF COOKE COUNTY TRIAL COURT NO. CV16-00447 ---------- MEMORANDUM OPINION1 ---------Appellant J.V., proceeding pro se, filed a notice of appeal on September 21, 2017, attempting to appeal “the rulings and actions of the District Court before and on March 29th, 2016.” On October 17, 2017, we sent a letter to J.V. expressing our concern that we may not have jurisdiction over his appeal because the trial court has informed this court that there is no order in the record 1 See Tex. R. App. P. 47.4. dated March 29, 2016, and because any appeal from an order dated on or before March 29, 2016, would be untimely filed. See Tex. R. App. P. 26.1. We stated that unless J.V. or any party desiring to continue the appeal filed a response showing grounds for continuing this appeal by October 27, 2017, his appeal could be dismissed for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a), 44.3. J.V. filed a response, but it did not show grounds for continuing this appeal. Accordingly, we dismiss J.V.’s appeal for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a), 43.2(f). PER CURIAM PANEL: WALKER, MEIER, and GABRIEL, JJ. DELIVERED: November 16, 2017 2
