Chapa, Justice Delivered and Filed: November 22, 2017 PETITION FOR WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS DISMISSED FOR LACK OF JURISDICTION On November 8, 2017, relator filed a pro se petition for writ of habeas corpus seeking relief from his confinement based on an indictment charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Original jurisdiction to issue writs of habeas corpus in criminal matters is vested in the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, district courts, and county courts. See TEX. CODE CRIM. PROC.
