APPLICATION FOR WRIT OF MANDAMUS DISMISSED FOR LACK OF JURISDICTION

Relator Sie Joe Lann filed an application for writ of mandamus seeking an order from this court to the District Clerk of La Salle County, requiring her to provide him with copies of the docket sheets and information about the status of four civil cases he has filed in the district courts of La Salle County. Our mandamus jurisdiction is limited. By statute, we have authority to issue a writ of mandamus against "a judge of a district or county court in the court of appeals district" and other writs as necessary to enforce our appellate jurisdiction. Tex. Gov't Code Ann. 22.221 (Vernon Supp. 2004). "We have no mandamus jurisdiction over district clerks unless it is shown the issuance of the writ is necessary to enforce our jurisdiction." In re Lopez, 04-03-00820-CV, 2003 WL 22658158, at *1 (Tex. App.-San Antonio Nov. 12, 2003, orig. proceeding); see also In re Dunn, 120 S.W.3d 913, 913 (Tex. App.-Texarkana 2003, orig. proceeding); In re Coronado, 980 S.W.2d 691, 692 (Tex. App.-San Antonio 1998, orig. proceeding). Lann has made no such allegation or showing. (2) Accordingly, the application for writ of mandamus is dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.

PER CURIAM

1. This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 02-03-00010-CVL, styled Sie Joe Lann v. Sharon Trigo, pending in the 218th Judicial District Court, La Salle County, Texas, the Honorable Stella Saxon presiding. Lann also references the following cases: No. 00-09-00014-TXL, Sie Joe Lann v. La Salle County, et al.; No. 02-03-00010-CVL, Sie Joe Lann v. Vincent Callahan; and No. 02-04-00028-CVL, Sie Joe Lann v. June Gebhert.

2. Lann says that one of the cases, no. 00-09-00014-TXL, Lann v. La Salle County, et al., is a case pending on remand following appeal from this court. Our mandate in the related appeal, No. 04-02-00005-CV, issued on April 24, 2003. Our jurisdiction over matters related to that appeal has expired.
