Pitre failed to file a brief. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(a) (governing time to file brief), 38.8(a) (governing failure of appellant to file brief). On May 26, 2021, this Court issued a notice alerting appellant of her failure and directing her to file a motion requesting an extension of time along with her brief or a motion to extend time to file a brief within ten days of the notice. The notice informed appellant that failure to proceed as directed could result in dismissal of her appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(b) (allowing involuntary dismissal of case). Appellant did not respond or file a brief. We dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b).
