DISMISS; and Opinion Filed November 29, 2016. S In The Court of Appeals Fifth District of Texas at Dallas No. 05-16-01173-CV PETRA GONZALEZ, Appellant V. JOSE M. GONZALEZ, Appellee On Appeal from the 301st Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DF-15-11288-T MEMORANDUM OPINION Before Justices Lang, Brown, and Whitehill Opinion by Justice Brown This appeal concerns a contempt order. By order dated October 10, 2016, we notified appellant that contempt orders were not reviewable on direct appeal. See Herzfeld v. Herzfeld, 285 S.W.3d 122, 132 (Tex. App.—Dallas 2009, no pet.). In that order, we directed appellant to provide the Court, no later than October 20, 2016, a letter brief explaining how the Court has jurisdiction over the appeal. We cautioned appellant that failure to do so could result in dismissal of the appeal without further notice. To date, appellant has not filed the letter brief, and nothing before us demonstrates our jurisdiction. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for lack of jurisdiction. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(a); Herzfeld, 285 S.W.3d at 132. /Ada Brown/ ADA BROWN JUSTICE 161173F.P05 –2– S Court of Appeals Fifth District of Texas at Dallas JUDGMENT PETRA GONZALEZ, Appellant No. 05-16-01173-CV On Appeal from the 301st Judicial District Court, Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DF-15-11288-T.
