COURT OF APPEALS EIGHTH DISTRICT OF TEXAS EL PASO, TEXAS AUTHOR J. MANNING. JR., § Appellant, No. 08-22-00216-CV § v. § ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TEXAS, § Appellee. § Appeal from the 307th District Court of Gregg County, Texas (TC# 2001-1995-DR) MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant filed a notice of appeal on September 21, 2022. The case was transferred to the Eighth Court of Appeals from the third Court of Appeals on October 27, 2022. Appellant appears to be attempting to appeal the trial court’s judgment of paternity. His notice of appeal does not identify the order he is appealing, when it was entered and whether it is a final order. Because we were concerned we lacked jurisdiction to entertain this appeal, we sent Appellant a letter on October 27, 2022, stating it appeared there was no appealable order or judgment. See TEX.R.APP.P. 42.3(a). We also informed Appellant that unless he responded within ten days and showed grounds for continuing the appeal, this appeal would be dismissed for want of 1 jurisdiction. See TEX.R.APP.P. 10.5(b), 26.3(b), 42.3(a). Appellant has failed to file a response showing grounds for continuing the appeal. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal. See TEX.R.APP.P. 42.3(a), (c), 43.2(f). YVONNE T. RODRIGUEZ, Chief Justice November 10, 2022 Before Rodriguez, C.J., Palafox, and Alley, JJ. 2
