STATE OF MICHIGAN COURT OF APPEALS PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, UNPUBLISHED December 28, 2006 Plaintiff-Appellee, v No. 263153 Kent Circuit Court LC No. 04-004423-FH LOUIS ANTHONY WILBON, Defendant-Appellant. Before: O’Connell, P.J., and White and Markey, JJ. WHITE, J. (concurring in part and dissenting in part). Rather than affirm with regard to the first adjournment of trial, I would remand with instructions to make a record concerning the circumstances of the adjournment. The mere fact that the detective’s daughter’s wedding was involved does not establish good cause without knowing where the wedding was held and when, and what efforts were made to accommodate the existing trial date. In all other respects, I agree with the majority. /s/ Helene N. White -1-
