WILLIAM SHOUPPE, et al., Deendants. ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) Civil Action No. 2:l7-cv-1135 MEMORANDUM OPINION 1 For the reasons that ollow, the Court will grant Deendants' Motion or Summry Judgment (ECF No. 171) and enter judgment in their avor and against Plainti. I. Relevant Procedural History Plaintif Richard E. Jackson, II was incrcerated in the Beaver County Jail ("BCJ") on July 28, 2015 as a pretrial detainee awaiting prosecution in state court. Approximately three months later, on October 24, 2015, the BCJ transerred him rom its general population into its Special Needs Unit ("SNU"). From that point orward, Plaintif remained housed in one of the jail's more restrictive areas, such as the SNU or the Restrictive Housing Unit ("RHU"), until he was transerred to a state correctional institution around late January or early February 2017. Plaintif is proceeding pro se in this civil action.
