UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT EASTERN DISTRICT OF KENTUCKY SOUTHERN DIVISION LONDON LISA JONES, Plaintiff, V. LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NORTH AMERICA, Defendant. ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) Civil No. 9-246-GFVT ORDER *** *** *** *** This matter is before the Court on Plaintiff s Motion to Reconsider a previous order of this Court [R. 16], Defendant s Response [R. 20], and Plaintiff s Reply [R. 22]. Plaintiff is essentially rehashing her previously rejected argument for additional discovery. She points to conflicts of interests and argues that their existence should allow her additional discovery [See R. 16]. When a Court is faced with a Motion to Reconsider, [d]istrict courts possess the authority and discretion to reconsider and modify their interlocutory orders at any time before final judgment. Leelanau Wine Cellars, Ltd. v. Black & Red, Inc., 118 Fed. Appx. 942, 945 (6th Cir. 2004). While the Court has the authority to engage in a review of analysis already conducted, the Court finds it unnecessary to do so based on Plaintiff s motion. Plaintiff continues to make arguments based on conflict. The Court already considered and rejected the contention that a conflict justifies additional discovery. As such, the Court hereby ORDERS that the Plaintiff s Motion to Reconsider [R. 16] be DENIED. 1 This the 29th day of September, 2011. 2
