(ECF No. 11) 16 17 No. 1:23-cv-00875-ADA-EPG (PC) Plaintiff Ruben Cardenas is a prisoner or civil detainee proceeding pro se and in forma 18 pauperis in this civil rights action filed pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. This matter was referred to 19 a United States Magistrate Judge pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 302. 20 On August 9, 2023, the Magistrate Judge issued findings and recommendations, 21 recommending that the Court dismiss this case due to Plaintiff’s failure to state a cognizable 22 claim, failure to prosecute, and failure to comply with a court order. (ECF No. 11.) The findings 23 and recommendations were served on Plaintiff and contained notice that he had fourteen days 24 within which to file objections. That deadline has passed, and Plaintiff has not filed objections or 25 otherwise communicated with the Court. 26 In accordance with the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(C), the Court has conducted a 27 de novo review of this case.
