[Modification of Opinion (23 Cal.4th 692) with no change in judgment.]

THE COURT.-

The opinion herein appearing at 23 Cal. 4th 692 is modified as follows:

1. The words "had been disciplined for having a Vietnamese woman in his quarters in a village that was off-limits," in the fifth sentence of the fifth paragraph on page 711 are deleted and replaced with the following: "had been disciplined for having a Vietnamese woman in his quarters and for being in villages that were off-limits."

2. The words "had been disciplined for having a Vietnamese woman in his quarters in a village that was off-limits," in the second and third lines on page 733 are deleted and replaced with the following: "had been disciplined for having a Vietnamese woman in his quarters and for being in villages that were off-limits."

This modification does not affect the judgment.
