§ 2.2-2637. Confidentiality of information; penalty.
A. It shall be unlawful for any officer, employee or member of the Council to make public, prior to a public hearing pursuant to § 2.2-2634, investigative notes and other correspondence and information furnished to the Council in confidence with respect to an investigation or conciliation process involving an alleged unlawful discriminatory practice.
B. Nothing in this section, however, shall prohibit the distribution of information taken from inactive reports in a form that does not reveal the identity of the parties involved or other persons supplying information.
C. Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
