of payment of salaries in or under the House of Representatives when the 
usual payday fell on Saturday.


                        Effective Date of Repeal

    Repeal applicable with respect to pay periods beginning after the 
expiration of the 1-year period which begins Nov. 12, 2001, see section 
116(c) of Pub. L. 107-68, set out as an Effective Date note under
