Professional boards; purpose.
The purpose of each professional board is to: (1) Provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens; (2) insure that licensees or certificate holders serving the public meet minimum standards of proficiency and competency; and (3) control the profession in the interest of consumer protection.
