Devise to state; acceptance; Governor; when.
With the exception of lands, money, or other property devised or bequeathed to this state for educational purposes which are controlled by Article VII, section 9, of the Constitution of Nebraska, the Governor, on behalf of the State of Nebraska, is authorized to accept devises of real estate or bequests of personal property, or both, made to the State of Nebraska, or any department or agency thereof, if in his or her judgment, under the terms on which such devise or bequest is made it is for the best interests of the State of Nebraska to accept the same.
