     624.69 Obstructing public levees.  

    It shall be unlawful for any houseboat, or other craft not 
 used for the transportation of freight or passengers, to moor to 
 or lay at the public levee of any city, or town, on the 
 navigable waters of this state, where it will interfere with, 
 inconvenience, or endanger the landing of any freight, 
 passenger, or towing vessel.  Every owner or person in charge of 
 any such boat or craft, upon notice by the police of any city, 
 or town, or the owner or agent of any freight, passenger, or 
 towing craft, that it is obstructing the levee, interfering 
 with, inconveniencing, or endangering the landing of any 
 freight, passenger, or towing vessel, shall immediately cause 
 the same to be removed and, upon neglect or refusal so to do, 
 shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not 
 more than 60 days or by a fine of not more than $50.
