     246.023 Interagency committee. 


    Subdivision 1.    Legislative policy.  It is recognized 
 that closure and consolidation of regional treatment centers 
 have negative economic effects upon public employees and 
 communities.  It is the policy of the state that 
 deinstitutionalization policies shall be carried out in a manner 
 that ensures fair and equitable arrangements to protect the 
 interests of employees and communities affected by 
 deinstitutionalization.
