§83.  Application of chapter

The provisions of this chapter apply to amateur contests or exhibitions sanctioned by the commission except insofar as certain provisions of this chapter are applicable only to professional boxing or wrestling contests or exhibitions.  No participant in or club promoting any such amateur contest or exhibition shall be liable for the payment of any tax or fee authorized by this chapter.
