439.310 Administration of probation and parole laws.
The commissioner, with the approval of the secretary and the Governor, shall appoint a
person charged with the administration of probation and parole laws, who, with the
approval of the commissioner, shall appoint a number of probation and parole officers
and other employees sufficient to administer the provisions of KRS 439.250 to 439.560;
but no employee shall be appointed except in the manner hereinafter provided. The
person charged with the administration of probation and parole laws shall have attained at
least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college, and, in addition, shall be a person
with training and experience in probation, parole or other related form of welfare work.
