Chapter 14. Unlawful Solicitation

"Attorney" defined
35-45-14-1 Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "attorney" means an
individual in good standing admitted to the practice of law in Indiana
or another state.

Unlawful solicitation
35-45-14-2 Sec. 2. A person who is not an attorney and who:
(1) knowingly or intentionally solicits, advises, requests, or
induces another person to bring an action in a court; and
(2) in making a solicitation under subdivision (1), directly or
indirectly receives any compensation, fee, or commission from
the attorney for the solicitation;
commits unlawful solicitation, a Class A misdemeanor.
