Sec. 0.01.
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the
Cemetery Land Ownership and Transfer Act.

Sec. 1.
All cemetery associations, or companies
incorporated for cemetery purposes, by any general or special law of this
State may acquire by purchase, gift or legacy, and may hold,
own and convey
for burial purposes only, so much land as may be necessary for use as a
cemetery or burial place for the dead.

Sec. 1a.
Any such association or company may, if it so desires, convey
property which it may hold within a city, village, incorporated town,
county not under township organization or town, to the city, village,
incorporated town, county, or town within which the property is located,
and if the city, village, incorporated town, county or town accepts the
conveyance such property shall thereafter be under the control, management,
and ownership of the city, village, incorporated town, county or town.
