Sec. 0.01.
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the
Particle Accelerator Land Acquisition Act.

Sec. 1.
The Department of Commerce and Community Affairs is
authorized, with the consent in writing of the Governor, to acquire and
accept by gift, grant, purchase, or in the manner provided for the exercise
of the right of eminent domain under Article
VII of the Code of Civil Procedure, as heretofore
or hereafter amended, the fee simple title or
such lesser interest as may be desired to any and all lands, buildings
and grounds, including lands, buildings and grounds already devoted to
public use, required for construction, maintenance and operation of a
high energy BEV Particle Accelerator by the United States Atomic Energy
Commission, and for such other supporting land and facilities as may be
required or useful for such construction, and to take whatever action
may be necessary or desirable in connection with such acquisition or in
connection with preparing the property acquired for transfer as provided
in Section 3.
