41-1006 — APPLICATION FOR EXAMINATION

                              PRODUCER LICENSING
    41-1006.  APPLICATION FOR EXAMINATION. (1) A resident individual applying
for an insurance producer license shall pass a written examination unless
exempt pursuant to section 41-1008(4) or 41-1012, Idaho Code. The examination
shall test the knowledge of the individual concerning the lines of authority
for which application is made, the duties and responsibilities of an insurance
producer and the insurance laws and rules of this state. Examinations required
by this section shall be developed and conducted under rules prescribed by the
director of the department of insurance.
    (2)  Each individual applying for an examination shall remit a
nonrefundable fee as promulgated by the director pursuant to section 41-401,
Idaho Code.
    (3)  An individual who fails to appear for the examination as scheduled or
who fails to pass the examination shall reapply for an examination and remit
all required fees and forms before being rescheduled for another examination.
    (4)  Applications for licensure not received by the department within one
hundred eighty (180) days of the successful completion of the examination
shall be denied.
