                          FALSIFYING, MUTILATING OR
                         CONCEALING PUBLIC RECORDS OR
                             WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS
    18-3202.  PRIVATE PERSON STEALING, MUTILATING OR FALSIFYING PUBLIC
RECORDS. Every person not an officer such as is referred to in the preceding
section, who is guilty of any of the acts specified in that section, is
punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not exceeding five (5) years,
or in a county jail not exceeding one (1) year, or by a fine not exceeding one
thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both.
