15-11-24.1.
The
judge may appoint one or more probation officers who shall have the powers and
duties stated in Code Section 15-11-24.2. The salaries of the probation officers
shall be fixed by the judge with the approval of the governing authority of the
county or counties for which they are appointed and shall be payable from county
funds.
