§15-1F-7. Unlawful military organizations.

It shall be unlawful for any body of men whatever, other than the regularly organized national guard or the troops of the United States, to associate themselves together as a military company or organization in this state: Provided, That the governor may grant permission to public or private schools of the state to organize themselves into companies of cadets, and may furnish such cadets, under proper restrictions, such obsolete ordinance stores and equipment owned by the state as are not in use by the national guard. Whosoever offends against the provisions of this section, or belongs to or parades with any such unauthorized body of men with arms, shall be punished with a fine of not exceeding one hundred dollars or imprisoned for a term not exceeding six months.
