17.1-209 - Preservation of papers in clerk's office.

§ 17.1-209. Preservation of papers in clerk's office.

All papers lawfully returned to, or filed in, the clerk's office shall be preserved therein until legally delivered out, and shall not be destroyed, even if reproduced electronically, except as provided for in § 17.1-213 or as otherwise permitted by law.
