15.2-3910. Charter commission; appointment; compensation.

Upon entry of the order provided in 15.2-3907 A, the governing body of thecounty shall appoint a charter commission, composed of not less than sevenpersons, to assist it in the preparation of a charter and form of governmentfor the new city. The governing body shall fix the compensation of members ofthe charter commission, the amount of which shall be subject to approval bythe circuit court for the county.
