3.1-884.22. Prohibitions against slaughtering livestock or poultry orpreparing products except in compliance with article; intrastate distributionof adulterated, misbranded or uninspected products; distributing New Yorkdressed or similar poultry without authorization; violating regulations andorders.

(1) No person shall, with respect to any livestock or poultry or anylivestock products or poultry products:

(a) Slaughter any such animals or prepare any such articles which are capableof use as human food, at any establishment preparing such articles solely forintrastate commerce, except in compliance with the requirements of thisarticle;

(b) Sell, transport, offer for sale or transportation, or receive fortransportation, in intrastate commerce, any such articles which (1) arecapable of use as human food, and (2) are adulterated or misbranded at thetime of such sale, transportation, offer for sale or transportation, orreceipt for transportation; or any articles required to be inspected underthis article unless they have been so inspected and passed; or

(c) Do, with respect to any such articles which are capable of use as humanfood, any act while they are being transported in intrastate commerce or heldfor sale after such transportation, which is intended to cause or has theeffect of causing such articles to be adulterated or misbranded.

(2) No person shall sell, transport, offer for sale or transportation, orreceive for transportation, in intrastate commerce, or from an officialestablishment, any slaughtered poultry from which the blood, feathers, feet,head, or viscera have not been removed in accordance with regulationspromulgated by the Board except as may be authorized by such regulations.

(3) No person shall violate any provision of the regulations of the Boardunder subdivisions 7, 8, 9, or 10 of 3.1-884.20 or orders of theCommissioner under subdivisions (3) and (4) of 3.1-884.21.
