17-2-3. Certification of election result to governor.The certified abstract of such returns must be filed in the office of the lieutenant governor, and, if it appears therefrom that a majority of the voters in each of the counties have voted in favor of such annexation, the lieutenant governor must certify the result of such vote to the governor.
