§2407. Alternative antifouling research (a) Research
The Secretary and the Administrator shall conduct research into chemical and nonchemical alternatives to antifouling paints containing organotin.
(b) ReportAt the end of the 4-year period beginning on June 16, 1988, the Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary, shall submit a report to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and to the President pro tempore of the Senate detailing the results of the research conducted pursuant to subsection (a) of this section.
