3-7-6. Classification system for civil service positions--Establishment authorized. The Law Enforcement Civil Service Commission may, pursuant to chapter 1-26, adopt rules for a position classification system for all positions in the civil service, based upon similarity of duties performed and responsibilities assumed, so that the same qualifications and pay may reasonably be required and established for positions allocated to the same class.Source: SL 1949, ch 245, § 5; SDC Supp 1960, § 55.16B05; SL 1980, ch 29, § 3.
