3-6-10. Leave of absence without pay. The provisions of §§ 3-6-6 to 3-6-9, inclusive, shall not prohibit the taking of leave of absence for vacation or sickness without pay; provided, such leave of absence is authorized and approved by the board, commission, agency, department, office, or officer employing such employee, pursuant to such rules and regulations as promulgated thereunto by the Bureau of Personnel.Source: SL 1927, ch 73; SDC 1939, § 55.2701 (7); SL 1953, ch 292; SL 1955, ch 244; SL 1957, ch 286; SL 1961, ch 272.
