2006 South Dakota Code - 3-22-24 — Minimum period of initial membership--Withdrawal from pool--Notice--Effect.
3-22-24. Minimum period of initial membership--Withdrawal from pool--Notice--Effect. The minimum period of initial membership except for the state, shall be three coverage years. Any member joining prior to July 1, 1987, may not withdraw until June 30, 1990. Any member
may withdraw from the pool at the end of the initial three-year
period of membership or at the end of any subsequent coverage year
by giving at least one hundred eighty-days' notice in writing to
the bureau of its desire to withdraw. The member shall not be
entitled to any reimbursement of contributions, dividends, or
credits that are to be paid or that shall become payable in the
future, and shall continue to be obligated to make any payments for
obligations which arose prior to the member's withdrawal. The
bureau shall continue to service any claim pending upon the
withdrawal of the member.
