2005 Rhode Island Code - § 42-18-3 — Additional transfer of functions from former department of social welfare.

    There are hereby transferred to the director of the department of health:

   (a) Those functions of the former department of social welfare which were administered through or with respect to the licensing of homes for aged and convalescent persons (title 40);

   (b) All functions relating to the licensing of homes for aged and convalescent persons formerly in the department of social welfare and of all other officers, employees, agencies and advisory councils, committees or commissions involved in the licensing of homes for aged and convalescent persons;

   (c) So much of other functions or parts of functions of the former director of the department of social welfare as is incidental to or necessary for the performance of the functions transferred by subdivisions (a) and (b).
