2005 Rhode Island Code - § 33-11-35 — Offset of mutual claims.

    When there are mutual claims between the estate of the deceased and the person claiming as a creditor, which are subject to offset, the probate court, after reducing the claim of the creditor to its present value, if there is a balance in his or her favor, shall consider any mutual claims and allow the creditor only the balance justly due.
