2005 Rhode Island Code - § 33-11-15 — Petition for filing of late disallowance.

    An executor or administrator, or any person interested, who has failed to disallow any claim within the time prescribed by § 33-11-14, may at any time before the distribution of the estate, if the claim has not been paid, petition the probate court for leave to file a statement disallowing the claim, and the probate court, after notice to all parties interested and a hearing on the petition, may grant leave to file the statement upon the terms, if any, as the court shall prescribe; and if leave is granted, the claim may be disallowed as aforesaid within the time fixed by the court with the same effect as if the same had been disallowed within the time prescribed by § 33-11-14.
