4731.71 Detecting and reporting violations.

The auditor of state may implement procedures to detect violations of section 4731.66 or 4731.69 of the Revised Code within governmental health care programs administered by the state. The auditor of state shall report any violation of either section to the state medical board and shall certify to the attorney general in accordance with section 131.02 of the Revised Code the amount of any refund owed to a state-administered governmental health care program under section 4731.69 of the Revised Code as a result of a violation. If a refund is owed to the medicaid program established under Chapter 5111. of the Revised Code or the children’s buy-in program established under sections 5101.5211 to 5101.5216 of the Revised Code, the auditor of state also shall report the amount to the department of job and family services.

The state medical board also may implement procedures to detect violations of section 4731.66 or 4731.69 of the Revised Code.
