4730.16 Contents of physician supervisory plan.

4730.16 Contents of physician supervisory plan.

To be eligible for approval by the state medical board under section 4730.17 of the Revised Code, a physician supervisory plan shall meet the requirements of any applicable rules adopted by the board and shall specify all of the following:

(A) The responsibilities to be fulfilled by the physician supervising a physician assistant under the plan;

(B) The responsibilities to be fulfilled by a physician assistant when performing services under the plan;

(C) Circumstances under which a physician assistant is required to refer a patient to the supervising physician;

(D) Procedures to be followed by a physician assistant when writing medical orders, including prescriptions written in the exercise of the physician-delegated prescriptive authority granted to the physician assistant;

(E) Any special services that the physician may delegate to a physician assistant.
