2006 Ohio Revised Code - 4707.14. Place of business.

§ 4707.14. Place of business.
 

(A)  Each person licensed under this chapter shall have a definite place of business in this state. 

(B)  Except as provided in division (C) of this section, if the licensee is a nonresident, it is not necessary for the licensee to maintain an active place of business within this state if the licensee maintains such a place of business in the state where the licensee is a resident. 

(C)  A nonresident who is licensed as a special auctioneer under section 4707.071 [4707.07.1] of the Revised Code shall have a definite place of business within the state and shall not conduct auctions anywhere else in the state other than the licensee's place of business.

The effective date is set by section 3 of SB 146. 

 

Effect of Amendments

150 v S 209, effective May 6, 2005, in (C), deleted "former auction company licensee" following "nonresident"; and made minor stylistic and gender neutral changes.
