§ 4501.24. Scenic rivers protection fund.
 

There is hereby created in the state treasury the scenic rivers protection fund. The fund shall consist of the contributions not to exceed forty dollars that are paid to the registrar of motor vehicles by applicants who voluntarily choose to obtain scenic rivers license plates pursuant to section 4503.56 of the Revised Code. 
 

The contributions deposited in the fund shall be used by the department of natural resources to help finance scenic river conservation education, scenic river corridor protection and restoration, scenic river habitat enhancement, and clean-up projects along scenic rivers. All investment earnings of the fund shall be credited to the fund.
