§ 173.36. Standards for certification of adult foster homes.
As used in this section, "adult foster home" means a residence, other than a residence certified or licensed by the department of mental health, in which accommodations and personal care services, as defined in
section 3722.01 of the Revised Code, are provided to one or two adults who are unrelated to the owners of the residence.
The department of aging shall adopt rules in accordance with
Chapter 119. of the Revised Code establishing standards for the certification of adult foster homes. The department or its designee shall certify adult foster homes that apply for certification and meet the standards established by the department.
