The superintendent of public instruction is the chief administrative officer of the department of public instruction. 15.1-03-02. Revolving school district equipment and software fund - Continuing appropriation. Repealed by S.L. 2003, ch. 148, § 1. 15.1-03-03. Revolving printing fund - Instructional materials - Continuing appropriation. A school district may purchase at cost instructional materials developed and printed by the superintendent of public instruction. The superintendent shall deposit all moneys collected from schools as payment for the instructional materials into a special fund in the state treasury known as the revolving printing fund. All moneys deposited into the revolving printing fund are hereby appropriated to the superintendent on a continuing basis for the development and printing of instructional materials. If on July first of any year the balance in the revolving printing fund exceeds fifty thousand dollars, the state treasurer shall transfer the amount in excess of fifty thousand dollars to the state general fund.
